Scorpius – The Scorpion

Scorpius is one of the 88 constellations within the celestial sphere.

Scorpius is one of the 42 constellations that represents an animal.

Symbolism: Scorpius is also known as ‘The Scorpion’

 

 

History & Mythology

With a distinctive hook shape, Scorpius is a prominent constellation at the south if the celestial equator that is home to a number of bright stars. Scorpius represents a scorpion that stung Orion the hunter, killing him. Also known as Scorpio for a time, however no longer used by astronomers.
