Earth

Earth as you know is our very own planet, and is the only known planet currently that supports life. Earth is a planet in the solar system and is the 3rd closest planet to the sun. The distance from the sun to Earth is over 90 million miles. Earth is the 5th largest planet in the solar system, which makes Earth the 4th smallest planet in the solar system. Earth is one of the four planets in the solar system that is a rocky planet. These rocky planets are called ‘Terrestrial Planets’

Earth

We know that the Earth was formed about 4.5 billion years ago, and has existed ever since. Earth’s orbit around the sun is the 3rd fastest orbit of all the solar system planets.

Earth temperature varies, and has reached a staggering 160 degrees near the equator at its desert, and can get as low -190 degrees at its south pole.

The temperature changes rapidly in different areas. The average temperature is 57 degrees. Earth orbits the sun in 365 days, which means that 1 year on Earth is 365 days.

The Earth is very special because of the life that its supports, and although it’s likely with the amount of planets in the universe that life exists, as of right now, Earth for us is officially the only planet in the universe that supports life, and intelligent life at that. Who knows when we will find any life outside of Earth. We may never find life on other planets, or we may find it tomorrow!
