Vulpecula – The Fox

History & Mythology

Introduced by the Polish astronomer Johannes Hevelius in the 17th century, the faint northern constellation sits near the head of the constellation of Cygnus. Originally called Vulpecula Cum Ansere which translates to ‘The Fox & The Goose’, then simplified to ‘The Fox’ The constellation is quite small however with some fascinating Deep-Sky Objects.
