History & Mythology
Tucana is a faint constellation in the far southern sky that was introduced in the late 16th century as one of the 12 constellations discovered by Dutch navigators Pieter Dirkszoon Keyser & Frederick De Houtman. This constellation doesn’t have any legends and none of the stars are named. The constellation does however have some noticeable features, such as 47 Tucanae which is the 2nd brightest globular cluster visible from Earth.
