History & Mythology

Hydrus is a zig zag constellation that is sometimes confused with it’s similar namesake. Hydra. Hydra is known is The Water Snake, with Hydrus The Little Water Snake. Hydrus is one of the 12 constellations introduced by the Dutch navigators Pieter Dirkszoon Keyser & Frederick De Houtman in the 16th century. The constellations bright stars make up a triangle shape
