History & Mythology

Cepheus has been known by many different cultures and represent many different things for these cultures throughout history. In Greek mythology, Cepheus represents a king and contain prototype of the Cepheid. Legend has it that Cepheus was the king of Ethiopia which was a mythical country. Cepheus was also the husband of Cassiopeia.
