Lynx is one of the 88 constellations within the celestial sphere.

History & Mythology

Discovered in 1678 by the Polish astronomer Johannes Hevelius, this northern constellation is wedged between constellations Auriga & Ursa Major. Representing a Lynx, the stars wrap around from the animals nose down to its tail. Named the Lynx by its discoverer because only people with cats eye vision would be able to see it.
